Bandai opened a brand-new One Piece Card Game product line in late October when it revealed Premium Extra Booster -The Drawing of Your Dreams- [PEB-01]. If the name sounds invented, that's the point: nothing quite like it has shipped before. Here's what it is and how to think about it before it lands on April 23, 2027.
A set born from a magazine feature
The building blocks aren't new — they're the "Dream Card" illustrations that readers created and voted on through ONE PIECE magazine. Bandai's own product page describes PEB-01 as turning "your dream illustration" into a card you can hold. According to Bandai's announcement, the lineup mixes new cards inspired by that art, upgraded Leader pieces drawn from older sets, and 13 reprint cards — all inside an all-foil pack.
That's the cleanest way to understand this launch. It's not a new block like OP-18 or a targeted expansion like the East Blue Extra Booster [EB-06]. It's a collector-first crossover set: fresh art plus blinged-up versions of cards you already know.
All foil, all of it
The headline is the finish. Every card in PEB-01 is holo — Bandai's page literally calls it an "all-holo premium pack." For the One Piece Card Game, that's a first for a booster-style product, and it's the biggest reason this set will feel different on release week.
Foil plays two roles here. For collectors, identical-looking full-common sets stop being "worth sleeving" and start needing care. For players, there's a useful side effect: the extra USD $7.99 per-pack price point over a standard booster comes with no list of chase commons to dig through — every pack is decorative by default.
Before you budget, Bandai has flagged one honest catch on the official page: multiples of a single card can appear, and a full set may be hard to assemble. Treat PEB-01 like a crossover product for its artwork rather than a guaranteed way to complete a checklist.
Double-pack configs, one strategic choice
If you're buying your own packs, pre-orders will settle the real debate: singles versus sealed. The English product page lists 16 cards per pack at $7.99 with 88+30 card types across the set. The Japanese version is configured differently — an April 24 release at eight cards per pack. Rarer reprinted Leaders are likely to carry most of the singles value, as they did in the earlier Premium Booster The Best (PRB-01). If upgrading a favorite Leader art is your goal, singles are the safer path; sealed is the gamble on pulling new Dream Card art early.
The legality fine print
One detail worth bookmarking: PEB-01 cards are tournament-legal starting seven days after the release date in your region — but they're legal from the pre-release at your local game store. So if you build with these cards for a competitive event, check your store's pre-release timing first.
Whether you're after a grail Leader or just want to ogle the Dream Card gallery in foil, PEB-01 gives One Piece collectors something genuinely new to plan around. Set a reminder for April, and decide on sealed versus singles before the pre-order rush.
