Stardust Trails [GD06]: ZZ Gundam and Gundam 0083 Enter the Card Game on October 30

October 23, 2026

The Gundam Card Game's next booster, Stardust Trails [GD06], hits shelves on October 30 — and it marks a first. Two classic Universal Century series join the game, and they're the whole reason to watch this set.

Two debuts, one booster

Until now, the GCG has drawn mostly on newer shows. Stardust Trails changes that. Both Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory make their card-game debuts here — a pair of longtime fan favorites that had been missing from the roster.

The timing does the work for them. 0083 is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and ZZ turns 40 in 2026. Bandai has clearly leaned into that nostalgia, filling the set with the machines and pilots those shows are remembered for.

The headliners are the two rival Gundams from 0083. Gundam GP01Fb, piloted by Kou Uraki, and Gundam GP02A, flown by Delaz Fleet ace Anavel Gato, both arrive as Legend Rare cards — the set's top chase rarity — alongside Kou and Gato themselves. On the ZZ side, ZZ Gundam and Judau Ashta round out the marquee. Elpeo Ple and her Qubeley Mk-II also show up, with promo versions handed out at launch events.

The set in numbers

Bandai lists Stardust Trails at 135 standard card types plus eight tokens: 50 Common, 36 Uncommon, 32 Rare, 12 Legend Rare, and 5 Special. It's a bigger spread than the game's earlier boosters, which points to this being a flagship-style release.

US packs hold twelve cards each at a $4.99 MSRP, with release day set for October 30. Japan and participating Asian markets get the set a day later, on October 31, in six-card packs at ¥250 apiece.

Beyond ZZ and 0083, the confirmed lineup reaches across the franchise — Infinite Justice Gundam, GQuuuuuuX, Turn X, and Gundam Bael are all present, so completionists have reason to chase this one even if the two featured shows aren't their era.

Sealed events to test it live

If you want to crack packs with a crowd, Bandai's Stardust Trails release events run at participating stores from October 30 through November 8. The format is simple: you open four booster packs and build an exact 30-card deck, with no color restrictions and no cap on using the same card number more than once — a quick way to get the new cards in your hands and a forgiving entry point for players who haven't touched the game in a while.

Bottom line

Stardust Trails is the rare set that serves two audiences at once. Fans of ZZ and 0083 finally see their machines in a modern game they've been waiting on for years, while the 135-plus-card lineup and Legend Rare chase cards keep the set interesting for players who came in through newer series. At $4.99 a pack, it's a reasonable buy if either of those groups includes you.
