Stardust Trails [GD06]: Gundam ZZ and 0083 Finally Enter the Gundam Card Game

October 30, 2026

Two long-awaited series land in the Gundam Card Game today. Arriving October 30 in the US, UK and Europe (October 31 in Japan and Asia), Stardust Trails [GD06] welcomes Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory to Bandai's flagship TCG for the first time.

The timing is neat. ZZ celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, while 0083 turns 35 — so the set is a genuine anniversary tribute, not just a card drop.

Two very different corners of the Universal Century

ZZ is the 1986 TV series that followed Zeta Gundam, known for its tone swings and for Judau Ashta, one of the youngest Gundam pilots. The set gives Judau his headline card alongside the ZZ Gundam itself, and backs them with the cast of the era: Elpeo Ple and her Qubeley Mk-II, Mashymre Cello, Roux Louka, and suits like the Hamma-Hamma and R-Jarja.

0083: Stardust Memory is the military-spec OVA that sits between the original series and Z. It re-creates the chase that fuels its whole story: Federation pilot Kou Uraki hunts down Zeon ace Anavel Gato after the nuclear-armed Gundam GP02A goes missing. Bandai turned that duel into the competitive heart of the set — Gundam GP01Fb and Gundam GP02A both arrive as Legend Rares, and the GP02A is linked to Gato. Fans of the OVA's IBO-adjacent MSV machines will also find the GM Custom, GM Cannon II, Xamel and Val Walo.

What's in the box

Stardust Trails runs to 135 card types plus eight tokens, split across 50 Common, 36 Uncommon, 32 Rare, 12 Legend Rare and five Special cards. The chase targets sit at Legend Rare, the game's top base rarity — and GD06 spreads some big fan favourites across it, including Infinite Justice Gundam, Turn X, Gundam Bael, GQuuuuuuX, and Wing Gundam Zero (EW).

Because it's a booster for every anniversary at once, the rest of the set leans on series already in the game. If you've built around Shining Gundam, Altron Gundam (EW) or Gundam Vidar, Stardust Trails hands you new options to slot in — so this is a set that rewards existing collections rather than starting one from scratch.

Buying the right version

Region matters more than usual here. In the US, a booster costs $4.99 and holds 12 cards. In Japan and Asia, packs hold six cards and just launched October 31. Same 135-card core either way — you're paying for convenience and printing, not more set.

For a low-stakes way in, check the official Stardust Trails release events running at participating stores from October 30 through November 8. You open four packs and build a 30-card deck with no normal colour restrictions — a friendly way to try the new ZZ and 0083 strategies before committing to a box, and a good entry point if you're new to the game entirely.

The verdict

GD06 is not a shake-up set. It gives ZZ and 0083 their fair debuts, hands the game two anniversary-stamped rival decks, and stretches the themes across five generous Legend Rare slots. If a Universal Century duel between Judau's ZZ and Kou-and-Gato's Earth Federation linup is your dream matchup, this is the booster you have been waiting four years for. For everyone else, it is a solid, thematically rich add to a growing collection — worth a box, worth the event, and a welcome reminder of why this game keeps growing its universe one ambitious anniversary at a time.
