First revealed at the BANDAI CARD GAMES NEXT PLAN announcement on June 18, 2026 and echoed by the official English account, Abyss of X is billed as the climax of an X Antibody story arc that begins with Ignition of X [BT-27], which reaches stores this December. The cards everyone has been waiting for
Ignition of X [BT-27] lays the groundwork, but the most wanted X Antibody forms stayed on the bench. Abyss of X finally brings them in: Omnimon (X Antibody), Magnamon (X Antibody), and Gallantmon (X Antibody) all debut in the English game. If you build Royal Knight lists, this trio alone is worth a pre-order.
The Seven Great Demon Lords awaken
Royal Knights are not the only ones gaining power. Every one of the Seven Great Demon Lords featured in EX-14 Malevolent VII awakens to the X Antibody here, so the demonic end of the ladder gets just as much love. If you pick up the January set, you will want the pieces BT-28 adds to finish those decks.
Support beyond the arc
Abyss of X does not stop at Knights and Demon Lords. It continues Year 2026-27 support for Digimon Story Time Stranger, DIGIMON BEATBREAK, DIGIMON DATA SQUAD, and DIGITAL WORLD SHAMBALA, so players of those themes get new Digimon and Tamers to strengthen their favorite lists.

The set runs about 108 card types, matching the shape of other recent boosters. As a box purchase bonus, you get an Update Pack card containing 2 of the 6 new promo cards designed to strengthen a variety of decks, and a Dash Pack is distributed as an additional purchase bonus. The set also includes cards built to enhance the simultaneously released starter deck ST-27.
When does it come out?
Release events run from March 5, 2027, with booster packs hitting stores on March 12, 2027. Some retailers list the 5th as the on-shelf date, so treat that week as your window and check your local store for the exact timing in your region.

Abyss of X is built to pair with Tamers' Selection Box Ver. X Antibody [PB-26], which ships around March 2027 and was designed to work alongside both BT-27 and BT-28.
